Coaching Features

Coaching Costs
After a one time only initial administration fee of £35.00 (questionnaire assessment), the monthly coaching costs are:

6 months Peak Program            £360.00  (or 6 monthly payments of £600)
12 months 1st Class program    £650.00 (Saving £70)
(or 12 monthly payments of £60 - Total £720)

Personalised Programs

Every athlete is different, they will respond to different stimuli and will require different approaches to training. Tri Coach UK provide entirely customised and personalised programs.  Key information about your current fitness level, past racing history, and future goals are analyzed to come up with a program that is uniquely yours. 

Unlimited Emails and Telephone Calls to your Coach
Tri Coach UK's athlete's will have unlimited email and phone call access to their coaches.  All emails will be replied to within 3 working days and instant online messaging is also available.

Year Planning and Periodization
Once signed up to the programme, Tri Coach UK athletes will receive a year planner.  Instead of just receiving weekly or monthly programmes with no direction, athletes will be able to see their projected training, outlined through the correct phases of the training year, incorporating races and goal setting. 

Nutrition Advice
Fuelling the body is a vital part of both racing and training. Failure to eat and drink correctly will degrade your ability to train, race and repair itself.

Conditioning / Strength Training
A strength and conditioning programme will enhance performance and help prevent injury. As a part of a wider training programme strength and conditioning will deliver a more able athlete to the start line.

Strength and conditioning work does not necessarily mean pumping iron in a gym. There are many exercises that can be used to develop core stability and functional strength and muscular endurance without going into a traditional gym environment. If however you have access to or choose to go to a gym as a supplement to your triathlon training programme then you can take advantage of the wide range of equipment and free weights available to you.

There are many myths about endurance sport and strength and conditioning and it by using a suitably qualified professional that you can make the best use of your time and ensure that the results you achieve in this area contribute to the success you are looking for in triathlon.

Tri Coach UK can help you with strength and conditioning and have a number of flexible options that will assist you:

The full design and monitoring of a comprehensive strength and conditioning programme. This takes the form of a comprehensive guide that will be prepared around you and your goals taking into account the equipment and time you have available. Your coach will ensure you understand the programme and can complete all the exercises safely and appropriately. You can be assured that by having a strength and conditioning programme designed by a triathlon coach who is qualified and experienced in both the delivery of resistance training and the preparation of athletes for triathlon that you will be using your time wisely and with the aim of improving your ability to perform in triathlon.

Tri Coach can also help you design your own programme based upon your current gym programme or can provide you template sessions for you to complete at home or in the fitness centre. This method introduces strength and conditioning but does not provide you with all of the support detailed above.


Bike Fit
Cyclists and triathletes alike invest hundreds of hours into training their bodies to cycle faster. They often spend thousands of pounds on the latest lightweight racing equipment to give them every possible advantage. Unfortunate in many cases this investment of time and money is wasted because the bike position is not as good as it could be. The sole purpose of bike fit with the Tri Coach is to ensure that your position is as efficient as possible. This considers the transfer of power from the muscles to the bike and the effects of aerodynamics on the overall efficiency. Many years of experience and the application of sound science ensure that the team at Tri Coach can help you get the most out of you and your machine.

The premium service in this are is the personal bike fit. Our coach will meet with you, either at your place of choice or at our coaches base, and work through some fundamental measurements before adjusting the bike as necessary to develop an efficient position. They will then design and strategy for changing the position on the bike to ensure injuries don’t occur and will even assist you with developing a position of tri bars. The coach will not leave you until they are satisfied that your position is the best that can be achieved and is as efficient as possible.

Bike fit can also be achieved by remote services either as a video conference or using body and bike measurements. This will help you arrive at a suitable position that will improve your performance but may not achieve this as timely as the premium service.
